BIOGRAPHY:
Liana graduated from Emily Carr College of Art & Design in 1990. Her major was Fine Art Printmaking with a focus on Serigraphy and Lino Block Relief. Since graduating, she has studied drawing, photography and colour theory. She is strongly influenced by popular culture, film noir, music and good wine.
EXHIBITIONS:
Liana's work has been displayed in a number of juried shows and private exhibitions. Her art is featured in private collections in Chicago, New York and across Canada. She has been concentrating on doing commissioned pieces for the past few years. Her most recent group shows were the Converging Lives juried group exhibit in Vancouver, BC and the Artspacific juried group show in Delta, BC. Liana held a solo art exhibit at Newport Village Yoga in Port Moody, BC which ran for three months in the summer of 2008. She currently has an installation of children's art created for and on display at Creative Home Furnishings in Coquitlam, BC.

Liana will have nine original art cards on display in various locations around Fort McMurray as part of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo's art awareness program. ARTIST'S STATEMENT:
My work is primarily stylized realism. I enjoy experimenting with hot and cold palette mixes as well as working with mixed media. My main interest for the past few years has been creating pieces using film noir storytelling with a comic book sensibility.
